Meetings
Let people book time with you, and book time with others.
Besides event meetings (see Event mode), JOGL Network has a general booking feature: you decide whether people can book a meeting with you, when, and under which rules, and eligible members see a Book a meeting button on your profile.
Opening your bookings
Everything lives in Settings → Meetings:
- Allow meeting bookings — the master switch. When on, eligible members see the button on your profile.
- Who can book — Anyone who can see my profile, Community co-members, My connections only, or No one.
- Availability — your timezone and weekly windows per day (with a Copy Monday to weekdays shortcut).
- Booking rules — the meeting lengths you offer, a buffer between meetings, the minimum notice, and how far ahead people can book.
- Meeting locations — options the booker picks from (leave empty to let them type one).
- Auto-confirm — approve every booking instantly, or approve each request yourself.
Connecting Google Calendar
Under Connected calendars, Connect Google Calendar hides the times you're already busy from your booking availability. JOGL Network reads only your free/busy status — never the details of your calendar events. You can disconnect or reconnect at any time.
Requests and upcoming meetings
Requests & upcoming in the same settings section lists pending requests to Confirm or Decline, and your upcoming meetings. Two different emails go out, and they carry different actions — neither one carries all three:
- When a request arrives, the host gets an email with Confirm and Decline links. There is no cancel link: nothing is booked yet.
- Once a meeting is confirmed, both people get the invite email. It carries a Cancel this meeting link (on profile bookings), and no confirm or decline links.
Booking someone else
On a profile that shows Book a meeting, pick a length and a slot, optionally say what it's about and choose a location, and Book. Depending on the host's settings you either get Meeting booked — check your email for the invite or Request sent — awaiting confirmation.
A confirmed meeting comes with a calendar file (.ics) attached to the email. Today that
file is a plain calendar entry you add to your calendar; native "accept / decline" RSVP
from your calendar app is not available yet.
